Halloween is one of those traditions that may lose it luster when you get into your late 20′s and early 30′s. No more trick or treating, dressing up funny and/or sultry can get old…. BUT – when you have kids, it is a whole new game.
Having Vani, my 6 year old getting as exciting as me to decorate our house was uber fun!
Vani’s Halloween Parade!
We hung out with our friends we haven’t seen in a while for Halloween and it was a blast! Vani, my 6 year old was Tinkerbell! It was so much fun to indulge in adult conversation and finger foods that works for child and adult simultaneously. Then, off to trick or treat! To experience it through Vani’s eyes is such much fun. This year, she was like the other kids, running (cautiously) up to the door with the other kids, singing, “Trick or Treat”! 2 yeears prior, Michael or I would have to accompany her to each door. It is incredible to see independent transitions. The look on her face after each house was priceless. She loved it!
I love Halloween so much more being able to see it through my daughter’s eyes…..
What is the tradition you see differently and why?
